Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune turns whether or not you believe in fate. Beneath the great wheel in the image waits a smaller roulette table, surrounded by bowing players and the skulls of those whose stakes were once just as important. Chance does not ask who deserves what. This card promises no good luck and does not declare adversity a punishment. It marks a point where timing, circumstances, and your own choices meet in a way no one controls completely. You cannot command the outcome, but sometimes you can choose the stake, the seat, and the moment you leave the table. When the wheel lifts you, do not mistake height for virtue. When it lowers you, do not mistake the ground for your identity. Study the cycle, prepare reserves for change, and seize the opening when it comes. Luck is a guest, not a spouse.
Reversed
The wheel may not be stuck. You may simply keep betting on the same section and calling the familiar result a curse. The reversed Wheel of Fortune separates chance, an unfair system, and your own repeated choice. They must not be confused, because each requires a different response. Not every loss was caused by you, and not every wound arrived to teach. Fate is not a moral accountant. Still, look honestly at where you can reduce the stake, break the cycle, or ask for help before the next turn. If the table is rigged against you, wisdom may mean leaving rather than learning better rituals for luck. Protect what remains and change one repeatable action. When bad luck demands everything, stop paying it an altar tax.
