The World

The World shows a whole that is greater than any of its parts. A cycle is ready to be closed even if everything within it is not perfect. In the image, a skeletal figure raises its hands beneath the planet. Fulfillment therefore includes what died along the way: an old role, an unused possibility, or the idea of how everything was supposed to end. Finished does not mean flawless; it means whole enough to carry as part of your history. Recognize what was achieved, grieve what was lost, and decide what you will not take into the next cycle. The World also reminds you of your dependence on other people, places, and systems. No one arrives alone, and you do not have to carry the same sky alone on your shoulders.
Reversed
The reversed World shows a whole that is not closing in the way you expected. The cause may be a missing part, an endless pursuit of perfection, a task that has grown too large, or authority that is not in your hands. Do not assume one final effort will solve everything. First determine whether the cycle is truly unfinished or whether you simply do not recognize the ending because it looks different from what you imagined. Name what is essential, cut what is ornamental, and decide what may remain open. If closure would require another person's acknowledgment, apology, or permission, you may never receive a tidy ending. Even then, you can limit your own participation. Not every open circle is a portal; some are simply places where the pen lifts from the page.
