The Moon

Updated 9/2/2026

Upright

A vast moon fills the space between two ruined towers. Beneath it, a person raises their hands and a wolf lifts its muzzle toward the same light. The Moon illuminates with borrowed light: it reveals shapes and motion, but not every color, distance, or intention. At night, missing information is easily filled with memory, desire, and fear. The Moon does not ask you to distrust everything or believe every hunch. Intuition can be compressed experience, and fear may notice danger before words do. Hear them as signals, then verify before reaching a conclusion. What is an observation, what is an interpretation, and what remains unknown? Dreams and images may describe an inner reality; they do not issue orders about the outer one. Avoid irreversible decisions when you are exhausted or essential information is missing. A smoke alarm deserves attention, but it is not yet a fire report.

Reversed

The fog of the Moon reversed is moving, but not necessarily in only one direction. New information may reveal an ordinary road where you feared a cliff — or a real edge where someone told you to calm down. Clarity is not always a relief, and a powerful feeling of certainty is not the same as a verified fact. Check the source, timing, and what observation would change your view. If a suspicion was wrong, repair the harm it caused without humiliating yourself. If it was justified, act on the information and seek support. Do not require the feeling to disappear before accepting the fact; the body may continue the night after morning has begun. Beware, too, of a finished story that explains everything too neatly. The Moon favors masks, but sometimes the most convincing mask is certainty painted to resemble daylight.
