Six of Wands

The Six of Wands brings an achievement into view, but the image hangs victory on a dark memorial between six wands and six skulls. The recognition may be deserved, and you can accept it without performing false modesty. At the same time, the card asks what the victory cost and who was left behind. Visibility brings influence, along with responsibility for how you use it. Applause tells you that people noticed; it does not yet prove that everything you did was right.
Reversed
The reversed Six of Wands turns the memorial upside down: recognition may be delayed, given to the wrong person, or prove emptier than you expected. Wounded pride is a real feeling, but it cannot tell you by itself whether you were treated unfairly or placed your measure of worth in other people's hands. Check the facts before either swallowing everything or declaring the crown stolen. Document your work, ask for clear feedback, and separate visibility from value. Audiences change heroes quickly; the graveyard is full of yesterday's celebrated names.
