The blindfold does not release her from seeing; it keeps faces, status, and personal preference from weighing on the verdict. Justice asks the same of you: separate what you know from what you hope or fear. The card does not promise that the world will reward the good and punish the wicked on schedule. It reminds you that decisions have consequences and that harm requires more than good intentions. Hear every side, verify the facts, and name your own responsibility precisely. If you have done wrong, repair what you can. If you have been wronged, do not carry someone else's guilt out of politeness. The scales do not require a perfect person, only honest weights.
Reversed
An unseen finger rests on the scales of Justice reversed. Facts are selected to fit the desired outcome, responsibility is passed along, or one person is sentenced for the sins of the entire room. Sometimes you are the one distorting the measure. Sometimes you are the one the system asks to smile while it uses a different standard. This card demands that you separate guilt from responsibility. Guilt can be loud and still be wrong; responsibility is often limited, specific, and repairable. Verify what actually happened, who benefited, and who had the power to choose. Correct your part without flogging yourself, but do not confess to someone else's actions just to purchase peace quickly. Not every wrong can be made right, and an apology cannot resurrect trust that has died. Still, naming the truth straightens the first weight.
